미드를 좋아해서 즐겨보는데 이왕 미드를 보는거 영어공부도 같이 하면 좋을 것 같아서 영어공부를 위한 미드로 빅토리어스를 선택했습니다. 빅토리어스는 에피소드 1개당 25분정도여서 부담이 되지 않는 분량이고, 일상 대화가 많으면서 재미도 있어서 선택하길 잘한것 같습니다. 빅토리어스를 보면서 노트한것을 공유할게요~ 혹시나 빅토리어스로 영어공부 하시는분이 있으시면 참고가 되면 좋겠네요~^^
Mold : 곰팡이
furry : 부드러운 털의
mushy : 곤죽 같은 (soft and wet)
stinky : 냄새나는, 악취나는
트리나: Yep. I got the talent, and she got the strong teeth. You know, she's never had one cavity?
토리: I try not to brag about it.
brag : 자랑하다, 떠벌리다
ditching school : 학교 땡땡이, 학교를 안가기로(빠지기로) 결정하다
간호사: Well, her tongue is obviously engorged and... Oh, it's throbbing erratically.
토리: Throbbing erratically?
engorge : 충혈시키다
throb : 진동, 두근거림, 고동치다, 떨리다
throbbing : 두근거리는, 고동치는, 약동하는
erratically : 괴상하게, 이상하게, 변덕스럽게
throbbing erratically : 비정상적으로 욱신거리는
안드레: You know, this whole thing inside and out...The song, the choreography... You can do this.

토리: Oh yeah, like regular schools have improv classes with barefoot teachers and nerds with puppets and bipolar cats and mean girls who make you bark like a dog?
puppet : (인형극에 쓰는) 인형, 꼭두각시
bipolar : 조울증의, 조울증을 앓는
렉스: Just keep it to yourself, I don't want to hear it.
just keep it to yourself : 그냥 혼자만 알고 있어, 넣어 둬
wrecked : 난파된, 망가진, 만신창이가 된
트리나: So I won't be known at school as the girl with the lame little sister who quit on her first day.
lame : 설득력이 없는, 믿기 힘든, 변변찮은
벡: Zap! I just healed your toe with my magic finger.
Zap : 제압하다, 뿅!
fainting : 기절, 졸도, 실신
lousy : (아주) 안 좋은, 엉망인 (=awful, terrible)
토리: Quite obnoxious of you to say.
너가 말하기에는 상당히 불쾌해
obnoxious : 아주 불쾌한, 몹시 기분 나쁜(=offensive)
jumping jacks : 팔벌려 높이 뛰기
